I definitely would love to go to India because it seems like a very mysterious country and the people who’ve been there have nothing but praises about the place. Specially now that there is a constant stream of information and images relating to how we should look like, underlying the need to keep up with the latest trends, women have always been very conscious about their appearance. My late grandfather loved to tinker with anything around him and all houses that he owned or lived in had wood sheds at the back to store all the tools and equipment that he used for various projects, wherever the address or however small the space might be. When I was around five or six years old, I would love to tag around after him and he would be so patient to show me what he was working on and how he was doing it that I would be content to spend hours on end with him. He was retired by then from teaching grade school, and was enjoying the time by spending it with family and working on his passion for creating beautiful pieces of furniture for the family’s use. He and my grandmother had had ten kids, nine of whom grew up into adulthood, married and had kids of their own; the closeness of the family was a result of years of stern but loving guidance fostered in equal parts by both parents. It must not have been that easy to raise all those kids, and indeed stories told by my uncles and aunts around the dining room table whenever we get together even until now reflect a past that was endearing and inspiring, as they reveal how they struggled and survived. I cherish the memories of the time with my Grandpa, who had mellowed with age as my cousins keep telling me he used to be so strict with them when they were younger and staying in the big house during school breaks. They’d say I was even his favorite, but since I wouldn’t really know, I’m just thankful that I got to know someone as strong as my Grandpa, someone inspiring and worthy of emulation.

For the past two or three days, I find myself really very busy with work and I think that I am starting to become a workaholic or maybe I already am but it is just now that I noticed it. I am not like this before, I always have time for my family and for my kids and every night, before I go home, I always bring pizza or some food for the family I have left at home. My family means a lot to me and being the father of the two kids, it is my duty and obligation to ensure that they will have a bright future ahead and sending them to school as they grow old is really a little expensive. My kids are the ones that eases my pain away and just seeing them in the night after a very tiring day, are really making me feel a lot better, like they are the cure to my hectic day especially when we have Railroadmuseums. I am simply running away from the thought of me and my girlfriends break up last week so I am trying to do things twice as much than the usual so as not to remember a thing. I know it sounds cowardly running away from something that I am not really comfortable to think about but I think you just have to understand that what I am going through is something that is not easy. It hurts a lot if you should know and really, the hardest thing to do is to forget and to move on though deep inside me, I wanted to really talk things over and try to fix things. I am the one who made the mistake so I should really be the one apologizing to her until she accepts my apology and hopefully, things could still be possibly become ok and normal once again.
