Because we know she’s going to be bed ridden and it’s going to take a toll on her overall health and on us too as her caregivers, when my grandmother had a terrible stroke that left half of her body paralyzed, we were devastated. We are relieved and overjoyed with her perseverance that even a tragic stroke didn’t dampen her spirit and she is still the driven and strong grandmother we knew. After we got her doctor’s approval and recommendation, we put her under physical therapy immediately so she can develop her strength and relearn basic movements again. Which give her a sense of purpose to push herself harder, she tried really hard to keep up with her training and we were very proud to see her making progress daily. She showed tremendous improvement that she was able to firmly sit unattended after a month and later on she began to slowly walk again with the aid of a walker. To make her more comfortable considering what she’s going through with her physical therapists session, we decided to buy her an expensive leather lift chair on her birthday. Also full of educational videos, youtube helps students and researchers, for me, I always go to youtube for reviews of certain gadgets and demonstrations of easy fixes when a gadget malfunctions. What’s amazing about youtube is that once a video is uploaded it can never be downloaded or stored by anyone other than the owner of that video, so the rights of the video stays to the owner. It is such a good thing now that there is a feature in youtube that you can share the videos to one of your social network like Facebook and Twitter with just one button, or you can use the good old technique of copying the link. I have been doing a lot of presentations to clients and managers about the recently launched product we have in the office, and I have made a couple of videos showcasing the product and have uploaded it in youtube. And I have incorporated youtube in powerpoint slides to enhance my presentation, and it turned out to be a success, because my direct boss liked the videos and the way that it was all in my powerpoint presentation. I did a little bit of research online on how to make a successful presentation and that is where I got the idea to insert youtube videos in my presentation, it was such a big hit, that my boss used my powerpoint presentation on almost all client visits. Since we cannot go to Hawaii to enjoy the great tropics, we just then brought Hawaii to our own backyard for my daughter’s thirteenth birthday and the birthday preparation was really fun and exciting. It was already an advantage for us that we have our own pool and we had some petals floating and floral design all over the place so that it will have the feel of Hawaii and also placed some sand around it to make it look like the ocean. Since we are having the party at night, we had some neon lights signs to add some color and lighting to the place and we also decorated the place with some sculptures, statues and an archway to really transform our backyard to an island. We rented some tiki bars and huts to complete the island-inspired setting for her birthday because it gave a very calming ambiance to the setting and it was very worth it since it became a very nice attraction during the party. Since the poolside was very beautiful and inviting with the tiki bar, so I have decided to find a manufacturer online that makes custom-built tiki bar so that I will have one placed there forever.
