One way of meeting interesting people online is by going in chat rooms which I always do after I have met amazing people who eventually became my online friends and buddies. I become aware of other people’s interesting culture and language from the people I meet in chat rooms which I enjoy that’s why I chat mostly nowadays specially during my spare time. When I need an opinion about something or when I want to simply pass the time away, I resort to chatting online because you can get interesting ideas from people you chat with. Through chatting, you get to meet people coming from different backgrounds and nationalities and you learn things from them like their arts, literature and their ways and norms without even travelling to the country they are in. Another good thing about it is that I am able to chat with my friends for hours without worrying for the telephone bill or without making a long distance call. Some people avoid chat rooms because they think that that people are disrespectful but the rule of chatting is knowing how to avoid if you know that the person you’re chatting with is disrespectful. People in chat rooms are the best source of information like new ideas, opinions and current events that’s why chatting with them is always worth the time. Meeting people online through chat rooms is normal but keeping a friendship with them is something I am most thankful with because they have taught me a lot of things about their countries, backgrounds and culture which I really treasure.
